I went to water aerobics again today. Holy cow! I feel like jello, so it must be working. I am planning on going on Friday as well, hopefully I am better recovered from this morning by then. Somehow in all the confusion this morning I managed to forget to weigh-in after I woke up. I just got on the scale, but I know it wont be a true weight since I worked out, ate breakfast, an after work snack, and 3 bottles of water, I knew the scale would show differently than normal. I stepped on it and it said 294. That is a good sign I think because it hopefully means that I am down just a little from last week. I will be weighing in tomorrow morning first thing to verify my hypothesis.
On another note, water aerobics is not the old lady workout that I had imagined it would be. Its totally hard, and if I could sweat in water I probably would have been drenched in sweat. The 60 minutes the class lasted was totally intense and once the class ended, I got out of the pool. This made my legs super weak, but in a good way. That means that my legs got a fantastic workout! I can't wait until Friday's class, hopefully the recovery time my body needs will keep getting shorted if I keep on attending three times a week.

Starting Over (Again)
Here I am, starting over...Again... This time is the last time that I will be starting, I can not keep living my life like this. I know, I know, I have said it before and failed to follow through. This time feels different. This time, I want it for me and not for anyone else. I am the only one that can change me.
Just to update you on my situation. I started my weight loss journey many times. I did very well last summer and dropped 15 pounds. Unfortunately, I did not follow through. I started college in August and focused my energies on doing well in school. I am working on a Associate of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis on Forensics and have decided on a minor in Sociology. With my career path being in criminal justice I have to do something to get healthier and in shape. That way once school is finished I have more career doors open for me. Since I focused on my studies, I finished fall semester with a 4.0 GPA!! I worked so hard for that 4.0, however that meant my weight loss journey got pushed on the back burner.
When it came time for spring semester I decided that I needed to do something and registered for a cardio fitness class. I figured that this was a way to ease back into working out and if I can do that and keep up on my studies then once summer came I could focus solely on my health. I started the cardio class at 285.8 pounds and 53.1% body fat. However, since I was also focusing on school work I did not really incorporate any other work out time, or watch what I was eating like I should have. I got up to 300 pounds on April 8, 2013. That was my wake up call. That was my rock bottom. I have to do something and I have to do it now! By the last cardio class on May 1, 2013, I was down to 289.6 pounds and 52.1% body fat. That means that I lost 10.4 pounds in 3 weeks!! Yay! Small win! That also means that I lost 1% body fat since January. Then finals happened and school ended on May 9. Since then I did not keep up with my cardio, or really pay attention to the food that I was eating. I did finish the semester with 4 As and one A-!!! I am so happy about that, I earned that. Now my current GPA is 3.96, I am sad that I didn't keep up my 4.0, but I have a 3.96 GPA with a 5 year old at home and I did fantastic.
I spent the last 2 weeks spending time with my son and bumming around the house, it took its toll. I went to the doctor last week and was back up to 293. I will not ever hit 300 again so I need to continue doing something. I love my son and enjoy spending time with him, but the gym has a daycare and we both need a break from each other sometimes. I am going to start going to the gym at least 3 days a week. I went to a water aerobics class today and man that kicked my ass. I thought that it was an old people class, but it really kicks yo in the behind. I have decided that I will start going at least to that class and they have it every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Everyone was really nice and encouraged me to come again. Since Monday is a holiday I will be going to the Wednesday class for sure. My son will enjoy himself too since he will get the opportunity to play with other kids and get out of the house. I will also start back with my weigh ins on Wednesday mornings before going to the gym. I also am going to try to update at least once a week and will start tracking my food on My Fitness Pal again. I can do this! I will do this! Only I can make this happen and I will.
