I am super excited! Even though I haven't been working out as much as I wanted to, I have been tracking my calories on My Fitness Pal. Some days are better then others, but I still track. Maybe just the act of tracking is helping me lose weight. Also I have been staying between 1450 and 1600 calories a day. On the days that I do not work out. Which has been a bit lately. On the days I do work out I try to eat back at least half of the calories that I burned.
This week I got quite a bit of walking in by grocery shopping. I usually try to stock up on dry good at the beginning of the month and then I only have to shop for fresh fruits and veggies and dairy for the rest of the month. In one day I spent 1 1/2 hours at Winco, and then about another hour or so at Smith's Marketplace. Pushing around a cart with my 4 year old in it is a workout enough. Then add a cart full of groceries. It was heavy!
Well, I guess I have postponed enough, I know I should have come out and said my weight first thing since that is the title of this post. That's no fun at all. I got on the scale today and I weigh 280.0 pounds that is a 6.4 pound loss from the first of the month and a 10 pound loss so far! I guess focusing on keeping my calories in check and tracking does really help in the long run. That means when I weigh in next week it will be goodbye 280s! Yay! Now I am off to complete day 8 of Jillian Michaels 30 day shred!

Tomorrow Is A New Day
I haven't been working out or eating well as of late. Luckily for me tomorrow is a new day and as long as I don't give up completely; I will still be doing better then those who are on the couch. I mean the journey still goes forward even if you fall. Everyone falls when they start learning to walk; the determined ones pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and keep on going. Here I am picking myself up and looking forward to working out tomorrow morning! Wow! Me, looking forward to working out?!?! This is amazing! I have come so far as to the fact that I am looking forward to a workout. That is definitely an accomplishment to how far I have come! I even can't wait until tomorrows weigh in day and from now on I will be weighing in and blogging about it on Wednesdays.

Update and Day 7
I know, I know... This really is not day 7, officially, but it is for me. Life got busy, we took a family vacation to San Francisco. Spent 2 days walking all over San Francisco it was amazing! So I took my weight and measurements today and I am happy with my results so far.
I realize that if I had put more effort in on my part that the results would have been much better, but I am still happy about what I have achieved so far. According to my doctor my weight was 273 at my appointment last week, but I am basing my results off of the scale in my house no matter how off it is. Overall that means there is an 6" loss!! Yay! Well I am now off to complete Day 7 of my 30 Day Shred and to recommit myself to completing the next 23 days in a row. Or at least to complete the next 23 days.
