So I completed day 5 of 30 Day Shred. The difference in my endurance was amazing. I can actually do jumping jacks now. So Awesome! I also weighed in this morning and I am down to 285.7! Amazing!
Over the weekend I did not do 30 Day Shred because my boyfriend, my son, and I, drove down to Kanab, UT. This was to pick up my boyfriend's daughter. We drove down on Friday night and stayed in Saint George. We picked her up on Saturday morning and drove he long way back to Salt Lake City. That means we drove though Zions National Park. Wow! Talk about amazingly beautiful! Red Rock is gorgeous! It also made for some good hiking and the kids loved it!
Unfortunately after we got back home I did not finish 30 Day Shred until today. So I will call this day 6 even though it is a week later. I have been feeling under the weather this week since I had my Mirena taken out and life has been kinda crazy. All that matters is that I get back on track! In the grand scheme of things I am just happy to be healthier and I don't think that I should beat myself up about missing days, as long as I jump on the bandwagon again.

Day 3 Completed
The last two days have been interesting. My sister, came down and together we completed 30 Day Shred on both days. She did not want to at first, I used my powers of persuasion to change her mind. I explained to her that she should try it. I really want to help her get a handle on her weight now, before she is my age and is as big, if not bigger, then I am. I really love her and I know she is lazy, even she will admit that. That is what will have her end up at my age trying to lose the weight. I helped her know where we stand to begin with.
We completed 30 Day Shred on both days and I introduced her to My Fitness Pal and showed her how to track food and exercise. I don't expect her to keep using it, but I really hope she does. I felt so much stronger today I was even able to do jumping jacks for 30 seconds straight! I know that may not seem like much of an accomplishment, it is though! Especially if you have really bad knees like I do. Thanks a lot Rugby! Well, I guess it was not just Rugby that is fully to blame, I played sports, a lot of them. Rugby was just the one that caused me to further injurer an already sprained knee and my current weight doesn't help much either. I did not have to take as many breaks today and I could tell it really made a difference in my workout. You can definitely put in more effort if you're not stopping every couple of minutes to catch your breath! Here's to finishing the week strong! Weigh in is on Monday! I am not expecting much difference since this is a new workout and muscles sometimes like to hang on to water. That is okay though, because I know that either way, I am still on the road to a healthier existence!

30 Day Shred....
Kicked my butt! I completed day one of 30 day shred. I know my sister said she would do it with me, but I was so excited I did level 1 today anyways. Wow, did my butt ever get kicked. I had to stop quite a few times and I know Jillian says stop if you have to but never for more the 5 seconds. That was the hard part it took me about 10-15 seconds to catch my breath. I used 3 pound dumbbells for most of the workout, but switched to 1 pound dumbbells for some of it. Tomorrow only 3 pound ones though.
This morning I was a little sad when I stepped on the scale since it said I was up to 290 again, but this is probably due to all the crap I ate yesterday. I mean, I made pot roast for dinner and it was very good, but then I was up late like usual and had a huge bowl of cereal. I always get the night munchies and end up totally going over board with it. I have an appointment with my Dr. tomorrow and I am going to talk to her about my insomnia. I get tired when my boyfriend goes to bed at 9 but if I do lay in bed, I can't sleep so after 1-2 hours of laying in bed I get up and then end up not going to bed until 1 AM. Even at 1 AM I still lay in bed for another hour or so before I finally fall asleep. It is so frustrating because my son gets up between 8 and 9 AM.

New beginnings
So I am down 2 lbs! yay for me! I haven't been putting much effort in though so that is why the number is so low. My car is now fixed, thanks to my cousin. I have had it for one week now. I am so excited because now I can go the gym while the boyfriend is working. Also I am going to be doing a fitness challenge with my little sister, starting on Monday we will be doing Jillian Micheal's 30 day shred DVD for 30 days in a row. We are going to take weight and measurements this weekend and weigh in on Mondays then take measurements again after the 30 days! This is going to be a supplement to me going to the gym 3 days a week as well. I am so excited! I know my sister is not since I asked her and she said she doesn't want to work out, but its only 20 mins a day for 30 days and we can keep each other accountable! I'll be posting my before numbers this weekend and updating my progress on my blog once a week.
